Principal's Message

We welcome you to see firsthand how we educate the whole student to live their Faith, pursue Community, and champion Excellence.

For more than a century, we have offered the children of Hamilton and its surrounding communities an exemplary education, rooted in our Catholic faith and manifested in our community.

St. Peter’s is a full-service Catholic elementary school,  offering full-day Kindergarten, as well as  grades 1-8.  Our 201 students come from several school districts, including Hamilton, Fairfield, Lakota, Ross, Talawanda, Edgewood, and New Miami. 

Our faculty and staff are committed to providing an exemplary education while modeling the teachings of Jesus. They strive to instill in their students Christian morals, a service ethos, a respect for the life and dignity of all God's creation, and a commitment to being good stewards of the earth. Together, our students and teachers work to understand, share, and live their faith each and every day.

The school is fully accredited through the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. In the State of Ohio, Catholic schools are accredited in 6-year cycles. St. Peter in Chains was most recently reaccredited in the spring of 2016 and is currently in its next reaccrediting process.

Our curriculum program is based on national standards, Ohio Learning Standards, and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati curriculum. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) is administered each spring. Test result data illustrates the academic growth of our students and assists our school in improving instructional strategies.
