Meet Our Mascot: Jerry

As far as St. Peter's athletics go, Jerry is our head honcho. Jerry is competitive, but he's friendly. He's tough, but he's always willing to lend his teammates a hand. He knows that winning is nice, but being a good sport is even nicer. 

Our mascot is named in memory of Mr. Jerry Wiegand, who in 1971 founded St. Peter's "friendly" Friday night bingo; for 24 years, until his death in 1994, Mr. Wiegand gave his Friday nights to St Peter's. In doing so, he helped to raise many thousands of dollars to support the education of generations of St. Peter's Eagles. The school gymnasium, Wiegand Hall, is also named in his honor.
