Inspired by our vibrant Catholic faith and a strong sense of community, St. Peter in Chains School prepares students to live and lead in a changing world. 
 
Centrally located in the heart of Hamilton’s revitalized West Side, St. Peter’s welcomes families from across the region. Here, students receive excellent preparation for high school and beyond, through a curriculum that prioritizes the development of strong minds and strong character. 
 
Our teachers provide a superb education within a safe and nurturing environment for children in full-day kindergarten through 8^th grade. We also offer a preschool that is licensed through the State of Ohio.  There is a a lead teacher and a full time aide present each day.  We also offer after care through our partnership with the Great Miami Valley YMCA. 
 
Premier Academics

• Thanks to a rigorous curriculum that features advanced mathematics (grades 6-8) and foreign language (K-8), St. Peter’s graduates frequently test out of Algebra I and Spanish I as high school freshman. 

• The nationally recognized Project Lead the Way brings innovative and hands-on STEM learning to students in K-8.

• Grades 1-8 benefit from a 1:1 Google Chrome Book program. Students in the primary grades have access to shared tablets and Chrome Books.

• Two intervention specialists, a reading specialist, a speech-language pathologist, and school-based support worker are available to students and families. 

• Students at all levels enjoy the use of our newly renovated and expanded science lab and makerspace.

• A schoolwide “Student of the Month” program celebrates Christian and Catholic morality and encourages students to make good choices in all aspects of their life. 

• A focus on community service builds empathy and fosters a sense of civic mindedness and social justice. 

• Our Buddy Program nurtures mutually beneficial mentor-mentee relationships between older and younger children. 

• Our comprehensive curriculum includes Spanish, STEM, the fine arts, and physical education and health.
